Bird Routes of the Lismore Region

Bird Routes of the Lismore Region

The brochure “Bird Routes of the Lismore Region” is an update of a brochure produced by Birds Australia and Lismore City Council in the 1990’s, and is the final in a series of six brochures produced by members of BBB over the past six years. The brochure features 13 sites within the Lismore City Council area. As the council area has a common boundary with four other Shires within the Northern Rivers, another six sites that either have a shared boundary or lie close to the boundary are also featured.

Listed are 241 species which have been recorded within these 19 sites and due to limited space some rare and vagrant birds have been excluded. We thank all the photographers for the wonderful photographs and Birdlife Northern NSW and Lismore City Council for their financial assistance and BBB members and friends who helped with the editing and compilation of the bird list.
